Bio

Jonathan MasséBorn in 1977 in the Montréal area, I spent the summers of my youth at Percé, in Gaspésie. After finishing high school, I travelled to Europe and North America. I then followed a drawing formation at Mission Renaissance school as well as an introductory course to painting. Thereafter, I founded a family and put the brushes aside for almost eight years. Although I made some portraits using charcoal during these years, the idea to paint large canvas never ceased to haunt me. In 2004, at 27 years old, I decided to create my first collection inspired by the beauties of Percé.

Following the success gained by my first collection and with the projects of exhibition which were offered to me, I decided in october 2005 to take a sabbatical year of my principal work in order to be able to perfect my art and to fully devote myself to it. This year off allowed me to set up the collection which was presented at Niagara Falls Aviary during summer 2006.

In 2008, I climbed the Kilimandjaro Mount for Care Canada. All the organization left me little spare time for production of new works. Now that the mountain has been conquered, I hope to be able to present a new collection soon.

Good visit of my web site!
